Country Music

Country music has many different interpretations and sounds.
Country music can be folk music, hillbilly music or bluegrass.
Country music is known to have originated in the United States, in the South and in the Appalachian Mountains. Country music is also known to be accompanied by guitars, banjos, violins and other stringed instruments.
Although, Country music is known for all of these different qualities, what is being considered country music has been changing over the last 50 years. Country music is now also influenced not only by folk and bluegrass, but also by the honky tonk sounds and pop music.
For the project, I classified country music into three different playlists that I think show how country music has changed. The country music from 50 years ago is more rooted in these folk and bluegrass sounds, whereas country music today has more of a pop sound, and country artists today are more widely accepted in other genres of music.
